21st Century Cures Act Will Go to a Vote Despite Satisfying Few Critics

Congress is once again prepared to vote on a bill that would make the most significant changes in decades to how drugs are tested and brought to market, though the latest version of the measure has not placated critics who say it does little to control drug prices and could cause ineffective or dangerous medicines to reach the public.

A reworked version of the 21st Century Cures Act – which passed the House last year but later stalled in the Senate – was released during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend by Rep.
