You could improve your credit just by calling your bank
There’s a very easy way to raise your credit score, and almost no one is trying it.
About 89% of credit cardholders who asked their credit card issuer for a higher limit ended up receiving one, new study today from CreditCards.com found. The site surveyed almost 1,000 cardholders. If cardholders are responsible with that higher limit, it’s an easy way to make a nearly instant improvement to one’s credit score, said Matt Schulz, the site’s senior industry analyst. “If you can improve that just by calling your bank and asking for a higher credit limit, it seems like a no-brainer,” he said.
